Mattingly Excavating provides excavation services for residential, commercial, and agricultural projects throughout southern Kentucky and Indiana. With 17 years of hands-on construction experience, we understand the importance of proper excavation when preparing a site for new construction or property improvements. Our services include foundation excavation for homes, garages, barns, and commercial buildings, along with trenching, site excavation, and earth moving. We work from your plans and project requirements to establish the necessary depths, dimensions, and elevations. Throughout the process, we take existing site conditions into account.
Excavation Services
Mattingly Excavating handles a wide range of excavation projects, including foundation digging, driveway excavation, and general earth moving. Whether you're preparing for new construction or improving an existing property, we evaluate the site and perform the excavation according to your project requirements. Additional work, such as grading, backfilling, material hauling, or drainage improvements, can be included when needed and agreed upon as part of the project.
Foundation Excavation
Mattingly Excavating provides foundation excavation for new homes, garages, barns, shops, and commercial buildings. Whether your project involves a basement, crawl space, slab foundation, or individual footings, we excavate to the dimensions, depths, and elevations set by your construction plans.
With extensive hands-on experience in excavation and concrete foundation work, we understand how proper excavation affects the construction that follows. We coordinate the excavation with the project's requirements, taking into account existing ground conditions, site access, and the needs of the foundation contractor. Additional services, such as backfilling, grading, or removal of excess excavated material, can be included as specified in the agreed-upon scope of work.
Residential, Commercial & Agricultural Digging
Residential
On a home lot the work is about fit and finish: getting the grade right around a house, drying out a soggy corner of the yard, or cutting a driveway that ties into the road. We work a residential lot without tearing up what is already in place.
Commercial
Commercial jobs carry more material and a tighter schedule. Pads for shops, parking areas and outbuildings mean deeper cuts, tighter grade stakes and coordination with the other trades. We plan the haul routes and the spoil so the foundation crew is not waiting on us.
Agricultural
Agricultural excavation puts ground to work. We dig farm ponds, shape drainage across pasture, cut in farm lanes and reshape low ground so it drains instead of standing. The machine is sized to work around fences and existing improvements without tearing up what is already productive.
